The Iwaki MXM magnetic drive pump — alongside MDM & MDE — is a heavy duty industrial magnetic drive centrifugal pumps covering the majority of industrial applications. Excellent chemical resistance, robust construction and simple maintenance are features of all these series.
Materials
Carbonfibre reinforced ETFE fluoropolymer wetted parts with alumina ceramic or SiC shaft & high density carbon, alumina ceramic or SiC bearings.
Resistance to abnormal or improper operation
All models have Iwaki’s patented Non-Contact System & Self Radiation bearing structure for greatly increased tolerance to improper operation such as short term dry running and cavitation.
Connections
All models have ANSI flanged connections as standard, with ISO flanges optional.
316 stainless baseplates are standard fitment to simplify installation.
Capacities
MXM has 3 basic models with a wide range of available impellers covering capacities up to 36m3/hr and maximum heads to 30m.
Motors and optional drives
All models are fitted with standard IP66 rated outdoor industrial motors.
MXM pumps are also ideal for portable or mobile applications where electric power may not be readily available. Contact us for details of optional petrol or diesel drives.
Iwaki MXM Magnetic Drive Pump — Overview
The Iwaki MXM magnetic drive pump is a large capacity, heavy duty industrial sealless centrifugal pump engineered for demanding chemical transfer in mining, chemical processing, and water treatment. With carbon fibre reinforced ETFE (CFRETFE) wetted parts and Iwaki’s patented Non-Contact bearing system, the MXM delivers reliable performance in the most challenging environments.
Key Features
- Large Flow Capacities — The MXM magnetic drive pump covers high-volume chemical transfer requirements not achievable with smaller sealless pumps.
- CFRETFE Fluoropolymer Construction — Carbon fibre reinforced ETFE wetted parts offer exceptional resistance to strong acids, alkalis, and oxidising agents.
- Patented Non-Contact Self-Radiating Bearing — Significantly increased tolerance to dry running and cavitation reduces maintenance costs and extends service intervals.
- ANSI & ISO Flanged Connections — Standard ANSI flanges with optional ISO configuration suit Australian and international industrial installations.
- 316SS Back Pull-Out Baseplate — Allows pump maintenance without removing pipework, minimising process downtime.
Applications
The Iwaki MXM magnetic drive pump is the preferred choice for bulk chemical transfer in mining operations, chemical manufacturing plants, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and industrial electroplating lines across Australia. Its heavy duty sealless design eliminates the risk of costly chemical leaks.
